Like we did in episode 6 for the blackberry wine, it was time to transfer the strawberry juice/wine into a carboy to begin secondary fermentation. We believe we improved our timing with this batch as the specific gravity of the must was approximately 1.020, perfect ballpark!
Our quick taste of the wine-in-progress also proved to be more inspiring than our blackberry batch; a better balance of fruit with the alcohol was present this time!
For future shows, expect the creation of a third batch (this time GRAPE wine!) and also some adventures into clarifying, oaking, and eventually label creation and bottling!
Please leave your feedback and questions below! Or just say hi too!

I spilled my Sauvignon Blanc must this weekend myself during some vigorous stirring to release CO2 while in the carboy.

This is my favorite show so far! Sorry I haven’t kept up … I’m glad that the future Doctor has steadier hands than the guitarist, for a moment I thought it must have been Christian behind the camera!
