Songwriting
I’ve written songs, but that certainly does not make me a songwriter. A true songwriter toils over his or her compositions, and obsessively adds to an already extensive portfolio of songs. In many cases, this can be daily. I admire songwriters, and certainly share the passion to appreciate all kinds of music. While I may not tally multiple songs per day, this Notations section will be my solemn attempt simply to write and share my creative process when it comes to music creation and appreciation.
This section will include (and is not limited to) lyrics and corresponding concepts or stories, my songwriting process, a visible brainstorm for inspiration and creative process, recording techniques and compromises, and my own musical interests.
Most of my compositions will result from my modest and simple home studio that you can view here. I will be sure to share any tips that I think may be beneficial for home-song production. I hope to exchange advice and learn from any constructive criticism through these articles and corresponding comments.
